HousingWorks Austin in partnership with PeopleFund Austin would like to announce its 2011 Economic Summit.

The goal of the Economic Summit is to engage the community and provide a forum for members, advocates, thought leaders and social entrepreneurs alike to come together, share ideas, learn and talk about what is going on in their communities, how they are being impacted and what we can all do to continue to cultivate healthy community growth.

The Summit will feature a keynote address by Ted Abernathy, Executive Director of Southern Growth Policies Board, the Top Seed Business Plan Pitch Competition sponsored by Capital One, individual breakout sessions on affordable housing near transit, equitable development, arts and culture and sustainable small business growth and a Community Survey.

The Economic Summit will deal with regional and local economic issues and is open to the public. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Register online at peoplefund.org or by arriving early to the event.
